You’re invited to exhibit at the Fair if you are:

YOUTH enrolled in a Winnebago County Youth Organization (4-H, FFA, Scouts, Breed Association, etc)

Not just for kids! ADULT residents of Winnebago County can show in Open Class

Cost to enter is just $0.50 per item for youth and $0.75 for adults. Earn premium money based on your placing (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th).

JUNIOR FAir Information (YOUTH)

All youth must be enrolled in a YOUth organization (4-H, FFA, Scouts, etc) to exhibit at the County Fair.

STEP 1: Enroll in your Youth Organization by January 31.

    • Member in Good Standing: Youth must be a “member in good standing” of their organization (Youth Org Leaders provide a list of eligible members to the Fair)
    • Code of Conduct: Youth (and family/friends assisting them at Fair) must follow their youth organization’s code of conduct at all times.

STEP 2: Review the Fair Rules & Premium Book

    • Know the Fair Rules 
    • Look up Judging Times & Show Schedules
    • Read Department/Class Information (dairy, beef, photography, cultural arts, etc)
    • Make a list of all the individual animals/items you want to exhibit at the Fair.

 STEP 3: Complete your FairEntry Form (online)

STEP 4:

Prepare your animals and exhibits for the Fair – including any necessary documentation or training!

WHAT’S NEW?

    • GOAT JUDGING moved to Wednesday @ 9am (Fun with Goats will still happen on Saturday @ 3pm)
    • POULTRY & RABBITS will be in BARN E (by the grandstand)
    • ALL ANIMAL EXHIBITORS must complete a YQCA COURSE and bring their certificate when they check in their animals on Tuesday before the Fair.   

The YQCA requirement includes horses and small animals like rabbits and poultry.

OPEN CLASS Information (ADULTS)

Open Class exhibitors must be residents of Winnebago County, 18 years old and CANNOT be an exhibitor in the Junior Fair.

Fair Admission Information (July 29 – August 2)

Who Needs to buy fair passes/tickets? you do!

Anyone entering the fairgrounds between 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM Weds-Sat or 9:00am-4:00pm Sun must have a pass, ticket, or wristband. This applies to everyone—including exhibitors, family members, volunteers, leaders and supporters.

Exhibitor Wristbands:

  • Weekly pass for Youth Exhibitors & Siblings: $8 (rides not included).
  • Must be purchased through your club/group (no individual sales)
  • No Admission/Tickets needed for Pre-Fair Judging on Monday, July 27 and Tuesday, July 28
    or Barn Animal check-in on Tuesday, July 28.
  • Exhibitors coming to pick up their exhibits Sunday, August 2 may enter free after 4pm by showing their CLAIM CHECK/EXHIBIT REPORT at the Gate (which is also needed to claim your exhibits).

Deadline to order: WEDNESDAY, JULY 8.
After July 8, Exhibitor Wristbands will NOT be available.
You will need to purchase a regular membership/weekly pass for $35.00 instead

Club/Group Leaders Information:

  • All exhibitor wristbands must be ordered through a club or group leader
    • No individual or on-site purchases for exhibitor wristbands
    • Orders can include: exhibitor wristbands, memberships (optional), and daily tickets (optional)
    • Clubs may submit multiple orders
  • Use the ONLINE ORDER FORM to submit final orders

Orders will be available for pickup at the Extension/4-H Office once payment is received.

Additional Ticket Sales: 

Daily tickets and memberships will be available starting in June at designated locations, including the Parks Department (same building as the Extension/4-H Office).

I signed up to exhibit, now what?

    • Release of exhibits (picking up your exhibits) on Sunday August 2

  • Pre-fair Judging of non-animal exhibits in the Expo Building happens MONDAY July 27 and TUESDAY July 28.

     

  • Barn Animal check-in is TUESDAY July 28. Make sure to complete and health/vet checks your animal needs prior to fair and know what paperwork you need to bring with your animals on check-in day. Animal exhibitors will also need to participate in Pen/Stall set-up and Safety Meetings prior to Fair.

Camping at the winnebago county fair

Enjoy convenient on-site camping during the Winnebago County Fair. Both electric and non-electric campsites are available. Priority is given to youth exhibitors and their families, vendors, and county fair volunteers.
 

Campsite Rates

  • Electric sites (20, 30, or 50 amp): $225
  • Non-electric sites: $150
Campsites are offered to returning campers first. Any remaining sites will be made available to individuals on the waitlist after April 1.
 

Information for Returning Campers

  • Invoices were sent the week of January 21, 2026
  • Full payment is due by April 1 to reserve your 2026 camping spot
  • Returning campers are assigned the same site as last year
  • Please check your invoice for your assigned electrical AMPS – Campers are responsible for bringing their own adapters, as needed
  • Waitlist and site change requests will be reviewed after April 1
Move-in dates and check-in procedures will be shared closer to the Fair and are dependent on EAA camping prior to our event.
